Trade Centre Bahawalpur/Bahawalpur Trade Centre is the biggest shopping place in Bahawalpur so far. Mall of Bahawalpur is also being constructed in Bahawalpur near Saddar Pull and it's a new project.

The Defence Housing Authority, Lahore (DHA Bahawalpur) is a housing society located in Bahawalpur, South Punjab, Pakistan. Much like Askari Housing Society, DHA too was originally built for army officers (as Civil & Defence Officers Cooperative Housing Society and later as Lahore Cantonment Cooperative Housing Society - LCCHS), but soon it became a Housing Scheme for all people.
The area has also undergone extensive gentrification, bringing in a more wealthy base. The recent influx of population from the adjoining areas has also given birth to a number of problems and the crime rate has also gone up. As a result of this, DHA guards have stepped up patrolling but crime is on a continuous rise.

Bahawalpur is said to be the 11th largest city of Pakistan and is situated in Punjab. It was recognized as the capital of a princely state after the Durrani Empire declined. This princely state was founded by Nawab Muhammad Bahawal Khan-II in the early nineteenth century. Later on, Bahawalpur was also given the status of a province. Bahawalpur city used has been historically the hometown and hub of various different Nawabs and rulers of their times. In the United India, Bahawalpur was called the Rajputana State which is now now Rajhistan in India.
